Do you know where to draw the line?
Sometimes there’s no argument about where to draw the line in our friendships and relationships. But the line can get blurry. This website aims to engage young people in a discussion about where the line is and to get them thinking and talking about relationships, gender, sex, bystander action, technology and communication.
Find out how to keep behaviours healthy and respectful and avoid crossing the line that makes someone feel frightened, intimidated or diminished.
You can’t undo violence
You can’t undo violence. Know where to draw the line is The Line’s latest advertising campaign. Its message is clear: if you hurt someone, you cross the line. And if you cross the line, it can’t be undone.
The campaign examines different kinds of violence. Violence isn’t just physical. Controlling behaviours, sexual assault and emotional violence are all types of violence too. The campaign also highlights the attitudes that excuse violence or blame victims – attitudes that must be challenged as it is never ok to hurt anyone. There is no excuse for violence or disrespect.
The site gives information on how to get help for those experiencing violence, or those perpetrating violence.
Information for parents and teachers is also available.
