Women's Groups

The experience of family violence can have the effect of isolating women; they may withdraw from their family and friends. Group work offers opportunities for women to share their personal experiences with other women who have similar experiences. Groups work provides a safe environment for recovery and the exploration of trust, intimacy, and independence. Group work has the capacity to foster lasting friendships with other women and encourage reconnection with their community.

WRISC runs groups for women and children. . For an up to date listing current groups please contact WRISC.
