Family violence is a widespread social problem that affects people, mainly women and children, in the most personal areas of their lives. Our work with women and children who experience family violence is directed by a feminist philosophy. Our responses to family violence takes into account the needs and experiences of people from diverse backgrounds and communities. This means that we believe all people, women, children, and men have the right to live free from violence and be safe. Family violence is not acceptable in any community or culture.

We believe positive change is possible on an individual, community, and systemic level. We seek to support, empower the women and children, and provide them with information, resources, and support they need to positive choices in their lives.
